About Us - Goals

  • To compare in a systematic and quantitative manner genome-wide epigenetic and transcriptional events that underlie either cell differentiation or the maintenance of a pluripotent state.
  • To predict the outcome of cell fate, based on a profile of epigenetic marks and the activities of transcriptional regulators.
  • To identify characteristic pathological epigenetic marks that accompany stages of cellular transformation.
  • To develop an integrated methodology for constructing quantitative and predictive models of the transcriptional and epigenetic gene regulatory programs that control cell differentiation in mammals, with the goal of ultimately engineering the fates of differentiating cells.
